We make a living by what we get,
but we make a life by what we give.
— Winston Churchill
We are a family of four: Matthew, Julianna, Haven, and Noah, proudly supported by our two cats, Faye, a sweet tuxedo cat, and Madison, our loyal rescue cat.
We may be a small family, but we have a strong support system through our extended family, and we treasure the time we spend together, especially our moments on the golf course.
We are a private family foundation, recognized as a 501(c)(3) organization, and we carry a big mission: to uplift our community, create meaningful opportunities for students, and lead with generosity, faith, and purpose in everything we do.
Our mission is to give back to the community by supporting students in need across Carrollton and Farmers Branch, Texas, specifically those attending Mary Immaculate School and R.L. Turner High School.
We have also created a fund to support a deserving Mexican student residing in or attending school in Mexico.
Beyond our scholarship programs, we contribute throughout the year by donating our condo in Puerto Vallarta to the Heart of Gold Gala at Mary Immaculate School and The Legacy Gala at John Paul II High School.
We also participate in both schools’ golf tournaments to help raise additional funds for their programs and student initiatives.
We have strong ties to these schools through our children and family. Haven is currently a student at Mary Immaculate School, and Noah is now attending John Paul II High School, both communities that have played a significant role in shaping their education and values. We also feel a meaningful connection to R.L. Turner High School through a former student, Julianna’s brother-in-law, Jorge Rangel, whose experience there inspired us to extend our support to its students as well.
Because Julianna is Mexican, we are also committed to supporting a Mexican student each year. This allows us to honor our heritage, celebrate academic excellence, and help open doors for a hardworking student residing in Mexico or attending school there. Our hope is to encourage pride, perseverance, and opportunity across borders.
We have established three scholarship funds designed to support and celebrate students who demonstrate commitment, resilience, and academic promise:
• The Haven & Noah Scholarship Fund (MIS) – created to support students at Mary Immaculate School.
• The Jorge Rangel Scholarship Fund (Turner High School) – honoring the legacy and journey of a former R. L. Turner student.
• Orgullo Mexicano: “Honor y Excelencia” – a special award dedicated to recognizing an outstanding student residing in or attending school in Mexico.
